Each year before a London Calling, we launch our London-themed Signal coins. Previously we’ve had a Signal Guardsman and a Sherlock Signal. This year, Signal is one of London’s very own Pearlies. Pearly Kings and Queens (known collectively as “Pearlies”) have been iconic characters in London since the 18th century. But what to use as a backdrop? Why, our iconic red phoneboxes of course!
The set of three comes with both of the Pearly Signals which are available for individual sale, the black suit edition with shiny silver plating, and the white suit edition with black nickel plating, but the set also includes the more limited edition version which is our pearl finish coin. The front of the coin is in single-colour white pearl enamel and black nickel plating. The reverse of this coin is in colour as with the other editions.
